Nancy Y. Harding

Partner

Prior to becoming a partner of Consultants for Institutional Advancement Nancy Harding’s fundraising career, spanning nearly four decades, was dedicated to raising support and awareness for animal welfare. As a 29-year veteran of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Nancy spent her extraordinary tenure directing the Society’s then $1.5 million annual fund effort, building a membership program, and ultimately directing the Leaders Circle focused exclusively on major donors.

Nancy’s early years at the MSPCA paralleled the Society’s emerging development program. Among her many accomplishments, she formalized key revenue sustaining initiatives including the Society’s Memorial Giving Program, its Pet Care Assistance Fund and its major donor club, the ‘Leaders Circle’, that today continues to generate millions of dollars of philanthropic support for animals.

Working with a wide variety of clients, as Partner of Consultants for Institutional Advancement, Harding focuses on major giving, donor relations and stewardship. Nancy understands and adheres to the details in the journey of donor relationship development. And, she generously shares her lifetime of “living room experiences” with our clients to stretch their imagination and to develop an appreciation of a donor’s perspective.

Genuine, frank, and passionate, Nancy identifies pathways for our clients to establish, enhance, and sustain donor relationships – and helps donors attain satisfaction and fulfillment in giving.

A career member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Nancy served as a member of the Board of Directors and Development Committee for Hale Reservation in Westwood, Massachusetts and recently co-chaired its multi-million dollar capital campaign. A native Rhode Islander, Nancy is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and the Wheeler School.
